International Exchange Program

If you are a student of our partner universities, the exchange program is a good option to study at Utsunomiya University for a year or 6 months.

Research Student

A research student is a non-degree seeking student who conducts a research in a specific field. You need to find a supervisor before you apply. Please see Research Fields List and contact them directly to ask whether you can be accepted as a research student.

Japan Studies Students

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) offers scholarships to foreign students to study for a period of one year at designated Japanese universities in order to deepen their understanding of the Japanese language, Japanese affairs and Japanese culture. Teacher Training Students

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) offers scholarships to foreign teachers who wish to conduct research on school education at Japanese universities. Please visit here for further information.

Japan-Korea Joint Government Scholarship Program for the Students in Science and Engineering Department

Based on the Japan-South Korea Declaration issued on 8 October, 1998, this program aims to enable promising Korean students who will lead the next generation to acquire emerging technological skills and knowledge by studying at science and engineering universities in Japan, as well as deepening mutual understanding between Japan and Korea through international student exchange. The Center for International Exchange provides Japanese language and preparatory education for the first 6 months of their arrival.
